Mediasite Video Platform (MVP) 8.49 introduces AI generation for presentation titles as well as several bug fixes.
New Features
Fixed an issue where users without edit permissions could sometimes view and use the add presentation button on channels. Users or roles must now have the Channel Content Management portal resource to view and use the add presentation button.
Live Captioning: Dual-Language Support (Third-Party Providers)
Live captioning now supports up to two languages simultaneously when using supported third-party captioning providers. This allows presenters and attendees to view real-time captions in multiple languages during the same live session, improving accessibility and inclusivity for multilingual audiences.
This enhancement is especially valuable for global events, international classrooms, and organizations hosting live content for audiences with diverse language needs.
Archive Tab Now Available in the Portal
The Archive tab is now accessible directly within the Mediasite Portal, not just in My Mediasite, making it easier to view and manage archived presentations in the same place users already manage content.
New Restore Button for Archived Presentations
Users can now restore archived presentations using a new Restore action. When restoring content:
Mediasite will restore the presentation to its original folder, if that folder still exists.If the original folder is no longer available, the presentation will be restored to the owner’s folder instead. A link is provided after restore so users can quickly navigate to the restored location.
Automatic Archive Exclusion After Restore
To prevent restored content from being immediately archived again, restored presentations are automatically added to an archive exclusion window, ensuring users have time to review, relocate, or update content before it becomes eligible for archiving again.
Fixed an issue in Search to avoid an Out of Memory error, which could cause search results to not be displayed in other Mediasite applications.
