Mediasite Video Platform (MVP) 8.48 is a maintenance release that focuses on stability and user experience. This update includes the new Archive tab for content in My Mediasite, minor enhancements to Channel functionality, bug fixes, and several small interface tweaks to ensure a more reliable and smoother viewing and management experience.
New Features
Early Access: Presentation Management in the LMS
We are rolling out an early access feature that dramatically streamlines content management for Channel Owners with editing rights. When accessing content through the Channel, instructors can now use a single menu to directly launch key editing tools (Analytics, Web Editor, Captions, Quizzes, Polls, etc.) for each presentation without leaving the course page.
Deprecation of LTI 1.1 Integrations
With this release, Mediasite Administrators can no longer create new LMS integrations that leverage LTI 1.1. All customers must migrate their LMS integrations to the newer, more secure integrations that leverage the LTI 1.3 standard before the December 31, 2025 sunset deadline to ensure continued support.

Advanced Archive Deferral & Exclusion Controls
We’ve added new capabilities to give content owners more control over the archiving process. Users with access to Advanced Archive features can now defer or exclude individual presentations from automatic archiving directly from a new tab in My Mediasite. This provides flexibility for videos that need to remain available longer or should not be archived.
Administrators can centrally manage this behavior with a new portal setting that enables or disables the use of deferrals and/or exclusions. This allows each organization to determine if content owners should have this level of control.
